I need help! I have a little over 7 acres and currently own a 445 JD with a 60" deck. I currently mow a little over 2 hilly acres. I would like something with a little more power and also a PTO. I would like the ability to use a wood chipper (3" - 4" branches), tiller, FEL for snow removal and also mow around the house. I have been looking at the 2210 but someone suggested the 4110. I've priced them both and there is quite a bit of difference between the two. Does anyone have any strong opinions with either tractor?

I have one of each size, a BX and a 4100. The 4100 with it's larger tires has a better ride over rough ground.

If ground clearance is an issue for you that would swing you toward the 4110 also.

Other than that they fit very much in the same envelope. ....

Waht Mark said on the tires. Larger tires = smoother ride and better traction.

You may want to consider the JD 4115 which has a few more ponies under the hood (24 hp vs. 20 hp)since you mentioned the implements. Cost about 20% more but sometimes you can find this tractors sitting on dealer lots that have been passed over and they are willing to deal to move them. ....

Thanks for the info. I have definately ruled out the 2210 and priced both the 4110 and 4115. At this time am leaning towards the 4110. One of the dealers also suggested that I keep the 445 for mowing and get something along the lines of a 790 for all else. I am going to give both options serious thought. ....

I would strongly consider the 4115 if you ruled out the 2210. I believe it was Mark who pointed out the frame differences in the past. The 2210 and the 4110 are if I remember correct the largest garden tractors ( 2 piece frames) and the 4115 is the smallest with a single piece frame. You might want to consider this when your price diffrence should be less than $400.00 ....
